Memory Garden Site Plan

A professional horticulturist and landscape architect designed the Memory Garden to include two areas for cremains, a gazebo for prayer and meditation, and a memory walkway that connects the areas and allows enjoyment of the garden's flora. Although this image shows the architect's Preliminary Plan, the final design and construction follows this plan very closely.

A memory walkway begins from the East near the portico entrance to the church and leads through an arch and beyond to more secluded areas of the garden.  A columbarium for cremains is seen to the left of the walkway along the North wall of the church.  The walkway then leads to the large circular area designed for scattering cremains, and continues on to a sheltered area for prayer and meditation.  The gazebo, designed and constructed by members of the church, shelters two benches and a wooden cross of large walnut timbers also made by church members.  The architects' selection of trees, ornamental plants, and ground coverings integrates all of the areas to create a pleasant and peaceful garden while the walkway pavers throughout may be engraved in memory of loved ones.
