SMALL GROUP MINISTRY

The Great Outdoors Church is committed to the concept of developing small groups as a means of providing unique opportunities for new and exciting times for fellowship, study and support to fellow Christians. Several small groups are organized to meet each week on a day and time that is convenient for the members of the respective group. Some of the groups meet at the church and other meet in homes. Small groups are designed to encourage Christian growth by studying the Bible and focusing on specific topics, by providing a way to support each other and by striving to engage in a deeper walk with the Lord. Small groups are open to all and everyone is encouraged to become part of one of our existing groups or to offer to start a new group.

Another season of Small Groups has begun. As you review the list of groups, please give prayerful consideration to joining one of them. Participation in a small group will provide a unique opportunity for spiritual growth, an enhanced knowledge of the Bible and a time of fun, fellowship and refreshment together. You will enjoy meeting new friends and strengthening current friendships. Why does a loving God let bad things happen? Would God really send someone to hell? Why is Christianity right and other religions are in error? Many Christians hear objections to Christianity and have a crisis of faith.

Enter Alex McFarland, a seasoned apologist (that is someone who speaks in defense of) and is ready to explore 10 common objections to Christianity. He offers straight answers that will give you confidence and understanding about your beliefs. After reading this book, you will know how to effectively answer the most common objections to Christianity, why you believe what you believe and be prepared to defend your faith and worldview.

This group will meet on Thursdays at a time and location convenient for most participants. If you are interested, please see Jim or give him a call at 703-303-4250.
